The aim of the project is to determine the organizational and societal dimensions of culture and its effects on the leadership behaviors, country prosperity as well as the well-being of the members of the society (White, 2015). The research attempts to find out what features distinguish the practices of one culture from the other and the acceptable leadership behavior and organizational practices in a particular culture. The aim of this paper is to compare and contrast the culture of USA and China in terms of the societal dimensions of culture . In terms of performance orientation, China has a higher ranking than the USA. In USA business structure, financial and promotional incentives are based on performance while in China organizations are required to reward for performance because of the high level of competition (Minkov, 2011). USA has a lower uncertainty avoidance than China due to the dynamic nature of the western capitalist culture of entrepreneurship and risk taking.
